This blog is about clothes and the so called immaterial material things.

Rebel
Each of us draws a circle around ourselves and we think whatever is outside that circle is wrong/ not good/ not acceptable and then we try to domesticate others based on our perception of the world. Should we get domesticated or rebel?
Rebel for freedom... to be true to ourselves... to be true to who we are .....

Girl on the train
'Girl on the train' has a very gripping story. I just couldn't keep the book down and finished it over the long weekend, no wonder it is New York bestseller since last two and a half years. If you like murder mysteries then I would definitely recommend it.

Time
In this age can we give ourselves the most precious gift of time? Is that even possible? Can we pull ourselves out of the chores, errands, commitments to others, just for a few moments each day?
It should be permissible to give ourselves something luxurious that we may want, like time to read, daydream, meditate, take a nap, do yoga, whatever it is we want but ruled out for more pressing matters?

Winter at the doorstep
I am not smoking in picture 2, it is condensation.
Over the years I have learned to let go and enjoy change of season. Much needed warmth is provided by loads of layers. In the next few months let's have fun with sweaters, jackets, boots, scarves and stalkings.

Annoying
Thing that annoys me the most is when people I am talking to are checking whatsapp/ facebook/ twitter or some random websites on their phones.
We lose the present moment to check all the other moments.
Small but important moments in our lives are barely noticed because we are busy with our phones.
Life is happening right at this minute but we ignore it to check what already happened, the history.
We are here to live it now, in this moment, when our hearts beat in our chests, when our eyes gaze across the great beauties…

Being Stylish
In my opinion being stylish doesn't take much:
1. Fit body - Fit bodies are most attractive bodies even if they are wearing torn clothes. Exercise every day and watch what you eat (I mean just watch don't eat ;-) )
2. Decently styled hair - Spend ten minutes over the weekend in doing some hair set up. If you have my type of hair (super curly) then have a hair length that is manageable and can be set in minimal time. Well set hair is always stylish irrespective of its length.
3. Ironed clothes - You can always iron clothes while catching up with your TV shows. Wrinkled clothes can make even Burberry garments look messy.

Exercise!
I feel sad when people give hundred excuses of not accommodating exercise in their daily lives. We want promotions, exotic vacations, big houses, grand salaries, appreciation from people but we ignore the utmost important thing in our life - our body.
In my observation people who say that they don't have time to do a certain thing actually have a lot of time on their hands (everyone gets 24 hours during the day) but their priorities are different. So when one says 'I don't have time to exercise' what they actually mean is 'I lack the motivation to exercise'.

Lost
We are taught to work hard, to make a lot of money and in the process we become our jobs. Do we live in a system that can sometimes be kind of a prison? When you ask someone 'What do you do?' the answer is always 'I work at so and so company'. Why is it never 'I sing, I dance, I daydream'? Our job becomes our identity, why are we defined, validated or labeled by our jobs? Is the basis of who we are lost?

Waste of time
'You read a lot, looks like you have a lot of time to waste' someone said to me the other day.
Do we have a constant need to categorize things that we do as productive and unproductive? The heart says read fiction and the brain says 'read non-fiction that is productive'.
I crave to experience those childhood days again when life was innocent, had no responsibilities and had nothing to prove. I would spend hours making paper boats and looking at them move in a pond from one end to the other. I did it goal free and guilt free. No one (including my brain) had opinions on how I spent my time.
It is amazing to see people who have figured out what 'waste of time' is while I still contemplate what 'time' means. We are all going to die one day so does that mean life is a waste of time?
